Busy Week

Ok, so for the one request I got to post a new blog, I'm posting. I duno if she'll read it, but oh well. :P

ANYWAY! This week has been hectic! Catching up on homework, submitting homework, taking finals, finals that have the wrong questions... -_- Fun stuff.

ANYWAY! Tomorrow (or my guess is by the time those of you read this it'll be today/tomorrow/a year ago) I'm taking my DMV Driving Test. I'm a bit nervous. If I pass... Then the world is that much closer to the End Times, if not, the world is safe.... for another two weeks anyway. :P I feel that I can pass it and I'm ready, but still, it's a bit unsettling. Knowing that if you make some small error, like hitting a curb or going into the wrong lane your out immediately. Any and all prayers are appreciated.

Been a bit Down lately

Hey readers!

So, as of late I've been really depressed over a lot of things. What to do about school, parents trying to get me to get a job, finances, my future in general. It got to the point today where I could not concentrate in class, my head was so full of other things to think about. So many things to worry. So, after I got done with my class, I'm just sitting and praying that I could trust God to take care of these things and give me peace. Wasn't helping. Or so I thought.

So, after this, I realize that my Dog had been hanging around me, hardly ever leaving my side, this has gone on for a while, but I never really noticed it for so long. I go to pet him, and thank God for a dog who cares about me, like most do. :P Then, a weird thing happened. After my dog left, our cat, the nervous one. He's gotten much much better, but he doesn't like to be picked up. Anyway, he comes in, I pet him and he's loving it. Then I pick him up and he starts to Purr. He NEVER purrs when you pick him up. So I pet him and then I set him down after a while. He sits on my lap. I was floored. He never does this ever. I'm starting to get curious, What's with these animals. He ends up leaving, and I go back to worrying. Then my other dog comes in, the hyper one. Very vain dog, all she cares about is eating. :P So, she comes to me to let m know it's time for her dinner. So I go to feed the dogs and then I come back. While I'm walking back to my room, it hit's me. Is the reason I'm like this because I'm not spending my time reading the Bible like I should? Is this because I haven't been faithful in my time with God? I hurry back to my room and pull out my Bible. I flip to a random page and the first sentence I read is "Do Not Worry"

I go, "wow, that's pretty straightforward". and I begin to read the passage. I ended up reading Luke 12:22-34 In fact, I'll just post it.

22 Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. 23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? 25 And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 26 If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things[c] shall be added to you.
32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Exactly the words I needed to read. I felt much better and in Awe. God again showed me his love for me.

Thank you God for your Word and never ending Grace. Thank you for my friends who help listen in times of need. Thank you for your many blessings to numorus to ever count.

Loooong time no post! or: I Injure mysefl yet again

Hello!

What'sup? As you can obviously tell I haven't been quite keeping up with my blog(s) (for those who read my Xanga, (http://www.xanga.com/Mithicoron For those of you who wish to check it out.)) My life has been fairly dull as of late. College and the like. But I was lucky enough to be invited by some dear friends of mine to stay the weekend. Talk about a blast.

First, I came over, got unpacked, then sat down and got some Halo 3 on. I won, as usual. Later some friends of theirs came over and we ate some pizza, played more Halo 3, some Guitar Hero 2 (I attempted Freebird on Expert, I would have had it if the starpower hadn't discharged prematurely), 300, and Bob Smiley. Lots of fun times friday night. Saturday, we had many more friends over. The same two as yesterday, plus another two. More Halo 3 and Guitar Hero 2. Later, even more Halo 3, we ended up beating the campaign, which was quite epic.

Sunday we went to Church, then went to a friend's house, came home, listened to the evening service online, which kept cutting out. (meh, LAME!) Ate dinner, went to bed.

Monday I got up and left on the 9:45 train (which ended up arriving at 9:54), I got a rockstar and read Chamber of Secrets till I got home. During unpacking, I (thought) I left my power cord for my 360 at my friend's house, it ended up being here, but I couldn't find it for a long while. Anyway, because it's just a regular power cord, I think to myself, "Well, it's just a regular power cord, I can just grab a new one. Turns out the 360 modifies their cord a bit. I, being the smart, ingenious person I am, decide I'm going to cut this modification out of this power cord. (it was just plastic) Anyway, while I'm modding this power cord, my hand slips and I stick the blade right into my thumb ( the lower half). It wasn' too bad, but it did go pretty deep. I was bleeding some pretty dark blood, and I got some nerves. I end up getting this under control. (It didn't bleed all that much, really) After this, I was determined to finish this, I was not going to let it beat me. Eventually I did get it perfect, and I was quite happy with myself. Turns out that the real cord was on my bed. *annoyance*

Anyway, aside of the stabbing, I had a good weekend being with friends, hopefully I can go back soon, It's always a blast staying the weekend (even though it seems way too short). Thank you God for friends who care, and parents who can tolerate my invading their household for the weekend.

And if you end up reading this, thank you again for letting me come over and invade for the weekend, Mr. and Mrs. H. I love coming over.

"holy camp"

So, Just finnished day four of Holy Camp. A little of the things we're learning are Prophetic Evangilism, how to prophisy over some one, end times stuff, and 3 hours at a time in the prayer room where you dance around or walk or start mumbling giberish or read the Bible or what have you.

... help.

Anyway, on to the positive stuff. The kids are actually pretty cool for the most part. We've got some people from England, (really funny story actually, cause the english chick asks a question and the speaker just looks at her, and she starts laughing. And the Teacher goes, "I missed that can you say that again?" she starts asking the question again and he goes, "How do you do that? That is so awesome. I love your voice can you say something else." Yeah, hilarious actually.) Then you've got the Nazerite vow chick that I've been hanging around with, who's trying all the time to get me to read end time stuff or do Holy Spirit stuff, She's pretty cool though, considering. Then you've got the Emma Watson looking chick (not joking, I was going, "was thinking, are you suuure your name isn't Emma Watson?") Then you've got the chick who gets drunk in the spirit constantly, then the group of girls who like to dance in teh prayer room. (Emma is in that group, good dancer actually) Then the dude who's ex-brother-in-law who was a satanist (also the guy who told the press about what was going on in the prison camps in the middle east) and his kid had a demon in him and he ended up doing battle with it. Then there's the other people I know somewhat but not as well. One other guy actually likes Harry Potter, which when I heard I went, "DUDE, NO FRIGGIN WAY!!!"

This was also the same day I saw a Vote for Ron Paul sticker AND the Five Points of Calvinism on one of the whiteboards at the Church. At which point I went, "YEAH! TULIP FOR THE WIN!"

But yeah, I've had like 4 Harry Potter Dissussions, or dissussions that ended up talking about Harry Potter, and out of the 4 or 5 or whatever, I've only had 1 where the guy I was talking to totally respected my oppinion about it. That guy was friggin awesome.

But yeah, I'm pretty much sick of it now, it makes my stomach go "ugh... I don't feel good" Something just doesn't sit right with me about it. And honestly, I tried doing the stuff, I went, "Ok God, I'm here for a reason, you either braught me here to show me that this is really the way it goes, or to clear all doubts about the issue." Well, I can say after 4 days, all doubts are cleared, and it just doesn't sit right with me.

Another thing making me mad is atleast once, if not twice, the pastor of the church, Mike Bickle, is talked about as a, "dude this guy is a visionary." Kinda thing. Really, REALLY, REALLY makes me angry. Sunday's message was, for the first hour, saying that anybody who believes that God predestines stuff are stupid, and they're not real followers of God, and that when they're in heaven they're gunna be wearing Rags and stuff, while him and the people who in IHOP and stuff are gunna have crowns. Then, he goes on a tangent about porn. Internet porn. And how he made a vow never to look at internet porn ever. I tell you, I have never felt so angry, I was about ready to walk out. Then after that I got in a dissussion about Predestination Vs Free Will. And I go, "well Free Will ultimatly means it's works, not by the Grace of God. And I gave him some verses to support my point, things like, the people who won't go to heaven but say, "we performed miraculus works in your name" and Jesus will go, "I never knew you" and when God hardened Pharaoh's heart, and when it says that God hated Esau and Loved Jacob. And The answer I get is, "well, you can't get your theology on a few obsure verses." These guys are crazy, one speaker guy, who was telling his testomony actually said there was a divine Coincadence. I'm thinking, "DUDE WHAT THE HECK?!? THERE IS NO SUCH THING!"

ugh, makes me angry. I only have 5 more days of this, then another 7, which means 9 more days at that church.

Anyway, Pray for me, seriously.

Oh, I got prophesied over, What this one chick said was I was in green, with a bow shooting an arrow, and another guy said the arrow ment my words, and they were gunna pearce people. Then another guy said I was gentle, which made me laugh. (which I am for the most of the time, but I am not a gentle person, :P)

anyway, I'm signing off now, have fun everybody!

Days 2 and 3

Day 2

Alright, Monday! Monday we wake up at around 8:30 and take our showers and whatnot, then we go, "So what do we wanna do? We end up deciding to go to the mall and eat breakfast there. I ended up eating Hoevos Con Chroezo (Spelling could be wrong) at La Salsa. It was ok, I've had much much better at the smaller, family-run Mexican places.

So we do that, walk around the mall a bit and end up coming back to the hotel. We go back to the hotel, talk about where we wanna go to dinner, then decide on going to the Rainforest Cafe for dinner. If you haven't been there, and there is one by you/somewhere your going, go. The food is good, but what's really interesting about it is the atmosphere of the place. Every 15 minutes or so there's a "storm". Where all the animals and stuff go crazy and it plays thunder music and the lights go up for the lighting. The food is a bit expensive, but you gotta go at least once.

After that, we came home, and didn't do a whole lot and went to bed.

Day 3

We get up at 6:30 to get to Universal Studios and end up eating at some place called "Ma's Market", at mom's request. My mom came into the store and went, "ohhh, this place is cool." I went ,"oh boy, not another health store." Well, this wasn't your ordinary health store. Looking at the breakfast menu I noticed one thing. No meat. Nothing. That was the first thing that told me this place was evil. Then, a not-so-straight guy comes in. And he's talking to this other guy, which sounds like he's a regular at this place. Then an elderly lady walk in and sits down with the gay guy. Now, this elderly lady, who looks as if she's 70 or more, is dressed as if she's 20. She has all pink on. a pink mini-skirt, a pink blouse, a matching pink purse. Pink pink pink pink pink. I order my food and stuff, I ended up getting pancakes, which I think was made with soy milk. Ugh, it was disgusting. Worst pancakes I've eaten, and my mom used to make the real healthy kind too.

After leaving that store I've never felt feminism attacking me so fiercely. When I walked out of that store/restaurant I told myself that when I got home I was going to finish my James Bond book and watching the Bourne Identity. But more on that later.

So we're on the road to Universal Studios... Gosh I feel as if I should have some kinda partner who sings stuff with me. (for those who didn't get that it was a reference to Bob Hope and Bing Crosby and all there Road to *Country* movies) When we get there we present our tickets and start having fun!

I'm not gunna go into much detail about it, because I'm guessing a lot of you are gunna want to go eventually. It's AWESOME! the Rides aren't the greatest, nothing too fast or any upside down stuff, but what's really cool about it is the movie stuff. They have a tour where they take you though the studios and you get to see a bunch of cool stuff, like some sets from Jaws, the airplane crash set from War of the Worlds, Skull Island, to name just a few. They also have other attractions that show you how they do movies. and stuff, it was awesome.

Anyway, after Universal we came home, I think we went to the Cheesecake factory for dinner, I had a philly Cheesesteak. We were so full we didn't get any cheese cake though.

After that we went back to the Hotel and I did what I said I was gunna do, I finished my James Bond book (which was awesome by the way) and watched Bourne.

Ignorant fool am I

:P

So yeah, I forgot about my blog'n stuff. Well, not forgot, more like discouraged. I went, "meh, nobody reads my blog." Buuut, no, that's not the case. So yeah, *posts*

So, I'll start off with an account of my 4th of July week down in Southern Ca.

Day 1

Got to wake up at 4:30 today! yay! Lots and Lots of driving, as you can guess, about eight hours approximately. Anyway, so we're driving, I do many things while driving, listen to my MP3 player, (pretty much Extreme Ways, Battlestar Galactica, Nightwish, and Within Temptation)played a game of Age of Empires: Age of Kings DS with my brother. (for a cheap knockoff of an awesome game, it wasn't that bad.) And... uh... sat? Yeah, that's pretty much it.

At around eight o'clock we stopped at Harris Ranch for breakfast, and yum! I had a sausage, cheese and ham omelet with country potatoes. Very good, Harris Ranch has always been awesome.

So, on the road again, kinda like the song, accept for the, "so glad" part. Anyway, we drive for a good while, then we get into a traffic jam. Well, turns out that on Highway 5, there was some kinda fire that was started and we had to go an alternate rout. We stopped at a gas station, and decided not to go the alternate rout. Then we decided we did, but we had to get back on 5. So, we did. Fire thing was over when we got back on so it was smooth sailing till we got to the hotel.

I have to say something. I don't know if it was just this Marriott or what, but the Marriott sucks. The first room we got the bathroom door wouldn't close properly, I mean literally it wouldn't close. When you did finally get it closed, it was stuck. We ended up complaining and we got another room. Same type, but at least the door closed properly. So after that we go down by the beach to get something to eat.

The beach is an awesome place to go, but not when it's over-crowded. I'm not kidding, this beach was crowded. It took about a half hour to find a parking spot, we ended up getting one in front of a pool-bar. They didn't actually sell beer, but the bouncer up front said that people usually buy something from the liqueur store then hang out at this place. Also in front of the place were two girls "looking for work", if you get my drift. At first I couldn't tell that's what they were doing, cause everybody was really nice over there, but later I went, "ohhh, THAT'S why they were standing outside that place."

So, what do we get for spending a half hour trying to find a parking spot? This little hole in the wall called the Crab Bucket. Now granted, the food WAS good, but it was really really crowded. I was expecting somewhere a little nicer to sit down at , instead of feeling like I needed to eat my food ASAP so the people standing next to me could sit down. (there wasn't really anybody standing next to me, but that was the atmosphere of it.)

After that, we went back to the hotel and swam. Then after that, bed.

Vacation till the 7th

Hey all you faithful readers, I'm gunna be in Southern California this week, starting tomorrow (the 1st of July) at around Four AM. Yay... -_-. anyway, thanks to Chris, I got my computer up and running again, and able to (finally) get my MP3 player to finally communicate with my computer, so I was able to throw 16 hours worth of music on there. I'm all ready for my trip... well, mostly anyway, I have to pack still. (spent the whole day working on my computer)

But, I did get a new pair of headphones! I tried them out a little on my MP3 player, they're pretty nice. Very comfortable, noise canceling, and it's got it's own volume control. (the Zen Micro controls can be annoying at times) It's very nice, I was thinking about getting the 10 dolor one, but then I thought to myself. (I'm gunna be in the car for 6 hours, if those things are uncomfortable, I'm going to have to deal with them for 12 hours. (the ride back) These were only 30, and so far I like them a lot!

Anyway, I'm gunna make this short, I believe a laptop is coming along with us, so if we get internet in our room. I'm going to try to make a blog post every night (At least one or two while I'm down there) if that is the case, so hopefully I won't be too scarce! Don't have too much fun without me.

Pirates 2.5 At World's End: The Review

*warning spoilers below*

So, I recently watched Pirates 2.5 In theaters, (There was no Pirates 3, this was the second half of Dead Man's Chest)And quiet Honestly I don't know if I liked it or not. At first I was going, "meh, it sucked." But now I'm going, "well, maybe it wasn't so bad."

There really isn't much of a back story for this particular outing, it was pretty spur of the moment. I was over a friend's house and I went, "hey, let's see Pirates" he said, "ok, let's go" then I said, "Alright, lets go", and we went.

We went, we saw, we left... before the end, which really was the ending. They also cut out a very valuable piece of information, according to the Wiki. Being captain of the Flying Dutchman was really only a 10 year contract, Davy Jones became bad, and because he became bad he was forced to captain it forever. I also found it very funny when they tried to give D.J. a soft side, the director tried to make him more human, but I think over all the time D.J. has been alive, he should have lost all his humanity by now.

One thing I found a little annoying was making Elizabeth a man. I mean, I don't have a problem with tough girls, but I mean I think they made an overdose on the tough-chick act. It was cool when she got to be a captain, but then she gets voted to be pirate king? Why would Jack ever vote that? I mean, yeah, best interest and all, but I kinda remember her killing Jack just a movie back... does nobody remember that? This is not me saying I have anything against girls in high positions mind you, nor though chicks. I was saying it was overplayed, we didn't see the feminine side of Elisabeth like in the first movie. Gone was the damsel in distress, and in the seductive pirate chick who could have handed D.J.'s butt on a silver platter to him.

Another thing I found annoying were plotlines. I was thinking two-thirds into the movie, "man, why didn't they just make this a TV show?" It really needed more then 3 hours to give all the plot lines justice. I thought they did a good job with the time alloted, but I mean every 5 minutes there's a new twist. Oh look, a map to World's End! Oh look, it goes to other places! Oh look Tia Adama (I swore that's what I heard... too much BSG) was D.J.s girlfriend! Oh look, Tia is actually Calipso! Oh look, Elizabeth is a pirate lord! Oh look Elizabeth is the Pirate King! Oh look, Jack's Dad is actually the keeper of the code! Oh look, There's that Compass! Oh look, Norrington is actually a good guy! Oh look, Barbossa is actually a good guy! and so on and so on. Dead Man's Chest and At World's End would have made a great TV show.

So at first viewing, I'll give it a 7.0-7.5, I really need to see it again for an accurate review though.

Up next! Play! A Video Game Symphony, and the hilarity that ensued before and after the concert. Oh the inside jokes... move it Hor-hey!

STARCRAFT 2 IS FINALLY ANNOUNCED EVERYBODY!!! LOOKLOOKLOOKLOOKLOOKLOOKLOOK!!!

As you can see, I am VERY excited about this. I've been looking forward to it for a loooong time. Starcraft is the best RTS of all time, if not the best game of all time. What makes Starcraft better then most is it's still being played, in some countries as a sport, 11 years after being released.

So, there's a semi-review of Starcraft, I might make a big one, because single player is also great, good good storyline.

Anyway, all this boils down to is one word. Immortals. the Protoss. Frakking. Rock!

Ahhh the joys of standing in line for 6 hours

So, as most of you know Spiderman 3 came out today. I was one of the lucky few who stayed up till the crack'o dawn and into the wee hours of the morning to watch it. And here is my story.

So, 6:30 rolls around and some friends pick up my sister and I and we drive down to the movie theater. We get a spot fairly close to the theater, which was interesting because usually the parking lot is packed, and there wasn't many people there. Anyway, so we meet up with two of our friends, who tell us that Fudruckers was temporally closed. I think it was due to the fact that when Pirates did the midnight showing there was a bunch of drunks and fireworks and policemen. It was a frakking mad house during Pirates 2. So, we decide then, to walk over to In'n'Out. We go there, get our food, then get in line.

We waited in line for 6 hours. For 2 hours, all we had was two iPods, one deck of cards, and ourselves. We played Blackjack, Poker, and Texas hold'em. For two hours. Then another friend of mine came which added another iPod. She also brought 5 decks of cards to play Nertz, which we did for about 40 minutes. So, we waited around, told jokes, got bored, stretched, waited, waited, and waited.

Finally the Security guard told everybody that they needed to stand up because we were about to go in. We stood there for an hour and a half. Finally after all that, we were able to go in. We were like, the 20th people in line so we were able to snag good seats (that's what you get for waiting in line for 6 hours). We then waited another half hour for the movie to start. People are dumb though, while we were waiting there was a group of people who smuggled beer into the theater and promptly chugged them all before the movie started. I don't normally have a problem with beer, but beer doesn't belong in a theater.

After the movie (which ended at around 2:40) a bunch of us went to 7/11 and got Slurpies. We then heard many stories from a friend of mine who just came back from his first year of college.

AAAAANYWAY! You guys wanna hear about the movie right?

So, the movie was good, I liked it. I think it fell into the same problem that XMen 3 did, where they tried to put in too many plot-lines and bad guys. Venom didn't get enough Venomness time, or any of the bad guys. It should have been longer. But, I did like the way that they tied it all in, it fit very well. Where as XMen 3 there were three different storylines and they tried to just put them all together, didn't work out too well.

All in all, first viewing I'd give it an 8 outa 10

haha, funny how this happens

http://www.joystiq.com/2007/05/01/former-wow-and-everquest-programmers-working-on-sci-fi-mmog/

this link will lead you to a story about a new company, Colony studios, a company made from some people from World of Warcraft an Everquest, are making a new Sci-Fi MMO. It sounds a lot of what I was thinking. I'm glad, this could be awesome.

The perfect MMO Pt. 1

So, after reading another blog (Tim Buckley is awesome!) that I regularly read, I had an awesome idea. Right now he's doing a series on his version of a "perfect MMO". MMO is short for MMORPG, which is short for Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplayin game, for those who don't know. Anyway, after Star Wars Galaxies failed to come though for me, I began to think of what a good Star Wars or Star Wars-like MMO would look like. So.... here it goes!

Setting:

Science Fiction, totally. There's too many Fantasy MMOs out there anyway. I might do a good Fantasy MMO later, but for now, lets stick with Sci-Fi.

Now, why I chose Sci-Fi. I chose Sci-Fi because, a big part is if you make your own universe, it's your'se, and nobody will complain that you've made the elves look like wusses and the Dwarves too big. What I'm trying to say is there's no expectation to meet. This is purely from your head, and sci-fi allows you to do whatever you want, and for the most part it's not criticized too much.

Another reason is, like I said, a lack of good sci-fi out there. I know EVE Online is out, but that was waaaay too complicated for me, and don't know what the story for EVE Online is anyway. But the story would go something like this. "2 (or 3) factions who originated from Earth have now spread out and settled in most of the Galaxy. Besides the 2 or 3 factions, there are others that you can join, but those three are the ones you have to start with.

Gameplay:

You can do pretty much whatever you want in the game. You can join the military in the fight against the other two factions, you can get into politics and eventually have some say in what goes on in that faction. If you want, you can even form your own rogue faction and do whatever you want. Build a space station, become pirates, bandits, vigilanties, a crafting faction, whatever.

Then there would always be something happening to continue the story. One of the perks of being a polotician is to have some say in what goes on in the universe. Say, the dev wants two factions to go to war, they talk to the council/pres/whatever they call themselves and say, "hey, this is what's gunna happen" then the leader(s) make the announcement and for what reasons.

Another big thing that I would like to see is the conquering of planets and cities. One thing that annoyed me in SWG, is I would get with a group of people to go attack an Empire-controlled city, and it didn't do a whole lot. It was more just to be a pain in the butt more then anything. I think it should be a little reminiscent to PvP in Dark Ages of Camelot. in DAoC, you had 6 Keeps, each keep held a bonus that gave you something, extra health bonus, attack bonus, armor bonus, ect ect ect. Anyway, Basically what happens is once your side takes control of the keep, the other people have to try to take it away from you. So it's a lot king of the hill in that sense. But what happens is, you can build siege equipment, if you chose the assassin class you can climb the wall, go into stealth-mode, and try to take out the healers. You could go on the wall and shoot the people trying to take your keep. You can ram the door, you can repair the door. It's just crazy.

anyway I think that's good'nuff for now, check back in a couple of days (or weeks, whatever comes first) for Part 2!

Destiny Strikes again!

Hello readers!

So, finally, after 2 weeks of telling myself every night, "Ok, I'm going running in the morning" I actually did. So, instead of my normal, wake up at 8:30, look at the clock, think for a second and go, "ah, screw it, I'll go running tommorow." I made a bet with a friend of mine that whoever didn't go running, unless there was a good excuse, that person would owe the other person a dolor. So, not wanting to loose a dolor, I woke up, got on my running pants, and darted out the door. I started out good, but after a half of a mile I had to stop, and I walked the rest of the way.

On the way back I ran into a wise old man and he gave me some good advice. Advice like, "stay in school, but don't just stay in there, take what you learn to practical use." "Be prepared for Change because Life will throw you curve-balls." He told me of this three sons, his youngest is 43, which should give you some indication of his age. I sensed a bit of sadness, but also hope. I very much wish to see him again, hopefully it will be not in this lifetime though. I want to one day tell him of my life, and how his advice has helped me. He was a very wise old man, and I pray God will bless the rest of his days here on Earth.

Great article on America

I was browsing Digg, and I came across this Article...

When did America Become a Nation of Frightened Wimps?

Really really good Article, shows what the terrorists really are doing, we've become afraid of the dark pretty much. Afraid of what's not there, and we just let the government take care of it. Really sad for the Country who 200 years ago made a stand against injustice, faught and died for freedom, and then we get to throw it all away because someone flew a plane into a building. After that it's, "OH NO! THERE'S A PAPER CLIP ON A PLANE, HE'S GUNNA TURN IT INTO AN ATOMIC BOMB LIKE MCGYVER!!! LIEK THER U R A TERRORIST D00D!" I mean of all things to take away. You can't even have a nail file with you. what is a little nail file gunna do to you? scrape you up? give you a paper cut? People these days are so worried about feeling the slightest bit uncomfortable and they get all worked up over it. Worst part is, they expect the government to deal with there problems. It's a sad day when the government has to deal with the petty affairs of people.

*cough*

that's my rant for the day. :P

Don't you just hate it when you can think of nothing to blog about?

Yeah, that's me, I have no idea what to blog about. I've thought about writing a review on some games, or SG1/Atlantis, or Battlestar Galactica, or anything. But nothing comes to mind. So I figured, what the hay, I'll just talk about music.

There's two bands I'm really into right now, one is Within Tempation (All credit goes to Marissa on that one, she introduced them to me), the other is Nightwish (I got her into that one, her and her sister). Both have a similar sound, and is pretty much metal opera. :P Unlike the usual metal you'd think coming from Scandinavia, there's no screaming (or not much anyway, The male vocals in Nightwish are quite harsh sounding), and both band's main vocalists are Sopranos.

Both bands are very heavy on the synth and has a very medieval/fantasyish sound to them, and in one of Nightwish's songs (Creek Mary's Blood), a friend of the band, an American Indian, sings and plays some kind of wind instrument.

I haven't heard much of either band's old stuff, just their two recent CDs, Nightwish's Once, and Within Tempation's The Silent Force. Both great CDs, I recomend them to anybody who likes metal and soundtracks. Cause that's pretty much what it is, a soundtrack with a metal twist to it, good good stuff.

That was the quickest I've ever been sick

ok, so I just broke my fever.

Yeah, I was only sick for a few hours. Just sick enough to miss my class!

Wewt! :-P

I promise, next update is going to be good.

Sick... AGAIN!

Yeah, I'm sick, again!

I mean for crying out loud. I duno what's up with me. I usually get sick, once a year. Maybe twice, but never 3 months from each other.

I think I need to start taking vitamins again, I think my immunity is finally wearing off. (Mom made me take vitamins when I was in grade school, one year I didn't get stick at all... Actually I think my record is 3 years without getting sick.)

I also think I need to start getting more exorcise. That would be a good thing.

Anyway, it's not as bad as last time, thankfully. But it still sucks. Hopefully I'll be better by tomorrow.

Just an update

Hey readers!

Sorry I haven't updated much, I haven't had a whole lot to talk about. I might do a review on Oblivion. (why do I like doing reviews for old games? (well ok, Oblivion is not that old, but it's like a year.)

Anyway, not a whole lot is up with me at the moment, busy watching Stargate Atlantis. (because Senior year has got to be the lightest ever for me) I got about... hmmm... *thinks* about 14 or some odd days before the final ten episodes of SG1, and the second half of season 3 of Atlantis comes back. Not bad actually, that's about 12, 21 episode seasons (averaged, some have 20, some have 22) in three months. aaand... I'm not even gunna do the math of how many hours that is, cause that's about 254, 42 minute eps watched.... I already know that's at least a week of TV watching. :-P

After SG1, I'm thinking about watching Farscape (in seasons 9 and 10, two of the characters from Farscape became regulars on SG1), or Babylon 5. Then after that, Star Trek. But seriously, there' a lack of good sci-fi out now, besides Battlestar Galactica. Unfortunately that can't go on forever though, if it goes 6 seasons, I think it's gunna start stretching itself thin. (I'm already annoyed that the Colonial Fleet is more worried about politics then the Cylon threat)

Come on Sci-Fi, bring back Firefly! Or, Someone Persuade Joss Wheadon to write up something new.

Anyway, suggested watching. Stargate SG1 is great, if you like Star Trek, McGyver, and sci-fi in general, you'll like SG1. (Richard Dean Anderson is in it, ironically, he's not much of a genius)

Old school Sci-Fi RPG at it's finest

Enter the remains of Earth. The Alliance has lost their long battle with the Coalition and are now fleeing earth to the Sirius Galaxy. Underground the Alliance build sleeper ships to send them far away from the oppressive Coalition. This was called the Exodus. There were 8 sleeper ships that the Alliance made, but only 5 made it. the Liberty, Bretonia, Kusari, Hispania, and the Rhienland. The Liberty arrived first, getting the first pick of the land. then the Rhienland, who picked their sector of the Sirius galaxy for the diamonds. Then the Kusari came next, and started businesses gathering oxygen and fish. The Bretonia came next, and began mining the precious metals in their area. The Hispania got there last, but barely. During the Exodus the Hispania was disabled, but not destroyed. On the way to the Sirius galaxy, the crew on the Hispania had a disagreement. There were those who believed they should use the Hispania's shuttles and abandon the Hispania, and there were those who thought they should stay on the Hispania. Those that left on the shuttles of the Hispania found a habitable planet, and were called the Corsairs. Those that stayed aboard the Hispania were called the Outcasts. Both factions of the Hispania did well, and both became very powerful Criminal empires.

800 Years have past. And a new threat awaits those of the Sirius galaxy.

Enter Edison Trent. A wealthy freelancer pilot who is currently aboard Freeport 7. At the start of the game, Freeport 7 is attacked by unidentified ships. Trent and a handful of people survive, but everything he has is lost. He is relatively unharmed, but his business partner suffered serious wounds. Now, Trent is in the liberty sector, with only 500 credits, and no ship. He does what any man would do when he's lost everything. He went to a bar. He did not find his comfort at the bottom of a glass though, he found it though Junco Zane, or Juny for short. She is an LSO Agent, who is in need of a Freelancer pilot to help escort some supplies to a station not far from where they are. She supplies him with a ship and some money and Trent is on his way.

Soon you find that things are not as it seems, a new Criminal organization, called the Order, attack a Rheinland capital ship carrying an ambassador for Rheinland en-route to a meeting with the President of the Liberty. The ship is destroyed, killing the ambassador.

After your first mission, the sky's the limit. You go off freelancing, every once in a while helping the Liberty, or other factions you wish to help.

I think the game Freelancer was ahead of it's time, when it was made. It's a great game, but nobody took notice. The biggest thing for me is, once you've completed the main story, there is so much more to do. You can continue to be the bad guy, deside that playing the good guy is boring and doesn't give you enough pay, so you become a corsair. Maybe you want a simple life just trading and selling the different materials. Or, you can just fly around and shoot people. Ether way, it's a great bargain game with hours of playability.

I give it a 9 outa 10. A must have if you like freeform dogfight sci-fi RPGs. They're hard to come by.

I'm at a friend's house for the weekend! YAY!

It's a lot of fun, staying up late, playing computer games, mercilessly insulting each other (usually their face), and playing pranks on people. It's great, lotsa fun, unfortunately I have to go home tomorrow, which sucks. Cause another friend is down for Wisconsin, and he's staying there the whole week, but I don't get to... mehnessandstuff.

Well... yeah, Watch Battlestar Galactica and Stargate SG1... that's all for now

Update on my sickness

Well, it's been about 48 hours now and I'm still feeling terrible. My temperature this morning was 102.6. I seem to be going in stages on how I feel, I'll feel good for about an hour or two, then I'll get really bad, coughing and sneezing, and getting really tired. After about another hour or two I'll start feeling a bit better, walk around a bit and my throat is relatively clear.

I woke up at 5 this morning, I had a really hard time sleeping. I closed my eyes, but I could not fall asleep. Well I did, but it was a very long light sleep. When I woke up I took a Dayquil, and that seemed to help. I went on through the day, at about 9 I took a nap on the couch till 12:30, then around 1 I ate lunch and got on the computer. I played some more Starcraft, I believe I have almost completed the Terran campaign on the original, that means only Have five more to go.

I have to thank you all for keeping me in your prayers, I really need them, God willing this will be the last night I have to deal with this cold for a long while.

being sick sucks

Well, I forgot about this... again. meh

I'm sick, unfortunately. It started last night. I could tell I was getting sick cause I was coughing a lot, and having asthma. So I took some medicine and fell asleep. Well, tried to fall asleep is what I Should say. I could not go to sleep to save my life. I finally did fall asleep, only to be woken up by my mother a few hours later. It's a good combo, lack of sleep, and the flu.

When I woke up I had a sore throat, I had a terrible cough, and my bones ached (all of those are still in effect while I'm writing this). I tried to start doing some school, but I couldn't concentrate. So I threw in Starcraft: Brood War, till I felt better. I some waffles for breakfast that was good. For some reason my sister said that one of the waffles were burnt, but it looked fine to me. (it wasn't soft for her, she likes'm like a pancake) So I had that, then I started shivering really bad. I put on a coat and that did nothing.

I took Dayquil, but that didn't do a whole lot. Then I made some tea. I thought I put in Green Tea, but apparently it was green ginger tea. I still drank it. I usually like my Green Tea straight. (well I like all my teas straight, no extra flavor, milk, or sugar) but surprisingly, I liked it. (though I had to, I wasn't gunna heat up another cup of hot water cause I got the order wrong, I was REALLY cold.) The tea was too hot, so I had to suffer a bit more, but when it was finally drinkable, I felt better. So there's no shivers, but my bones ache a bit and I still have a sore throat, and I have a bit of a headache.
